1. Add a device

Click to add a new device. Your changes will only take effect after you clicked on Commit.

2. Remove a device

Click to remove a corresponding device. Your changes will only take effect after you clicked on Commit.

3. Name a device

Allows you to give a friendly name to your device. This field cannot be left empty.

4. Set a domain

This allows you to set the domain of your device (i.e. the address you'll be using to remotely access your device - e.g.: home.mydomain.com). Leave the subdomain field empty if you do not wish to use a subdomain (e.g.: mydomain.com).

Figure 2: Set a domain

A free domain name is provided to all users. If you prefer to use a custom domain name you can add your own through the Domain Panel (see the Domain panel reference documentation).

5. Set up/downtime parameters

  • Downtime timeout:
  • 10 minutes by default; it is recommended to set it to twice the IP / DDNS update interval of your device. If you cannot predict the update interval then set it to Never.

  • Up notifications:
  • Enable/disable UP email notifications. If enabled an email will be dispatched to your address every time your device goes back online (i.e. an update is received after a full downtime period). Downtime timeout must be set.

  • Down notifications:
  • Enable/disable DOWN email notifications. If enabled an email will be dispatched to your address every time your device goes offline (i.e. no update is received for a full downtime period). Downtime timeout must be set.

6. Commit or cancel changes

Click to commit or cancel your changes. All changes to the device panel must be committed to take effect.

7. More settings

Click to access more settings. This will open a new window (see figure 3 below). Changes made in this window immediately take effect.
